Embellish any place setting with these exquisite dinner napkins made with artist, Alexander Gorlizki. These six fine cotton beauties add dimensionality and dramatic sophistication to any dining experience. The stunning design was taken directly from one of Gorlizki’s intricately detailed drawings, and specifically recontextualized for the table. Gorlizki’s works stems from his fascination with Indian Miniature paintings, a tradition that he has subverted and applied to his own particular visual language. For years he has collaborated with Riyaz Uddin, a master painter with a perfect command of technique to achieve stunning intricacy and detail. The subjects and styles of the drawings range from geometric abstraction to loosely narrative representation, featuring everything from the mythical to the everyday and drawing from ornamental and textile patterns, photographs and magazine pages, pop culture, and Western and Eastern iconographies.
